Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to join their team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and driving sustainable practices. Your expertise in environmental health, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and well-being within their organization.


  • Develop and implement EHS programs: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive environmental health and safety programs aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments: Identify potential workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments to evaluate the level of risk associated with various activities. Develop and implement control measures to minimize risks and prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Promote safety awareness: Implement proactive measures to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. Develop and deliver training programs on safety protocols, emergency preparedness, hazardous materials handling, and other relevant topics.
  • Monitor and investigate incidents: Establish procedures for reporting and investigating incidents, accidents, near misses, and potential environmental issues. Analyze incident data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate future incidents.
  • Maintain compliance: Stay updated on relevant EHS regulations, standards, and best practices. Monitor changes in legislation and ensure timely updates to policies, procedures, and training programs. Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Manage hazardous materials and waste: Develop and implement programs for the safe handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and minimize environmental impact.
  • Environmental sustainability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable practices and initiatives. Identify opportunities for waste reduction, energy conservation, pollution prevention, and resource efficiency. Develop strategies to minimize the organization's environmental footprint.
  • Data analysis and reporting: Collect and analyze EHS data to evaluate performance, track progress, and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports on key metrics, trends, and compliance status. Present findings to management and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience working in EHS roles, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001).
  • Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
  • Excellent knowledge of hazardous materials management, waste management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Experience in developing and delivering EHS training programs.
  • Ability to conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret EHS data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in EHS software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
